Speaking to The Scotsman, Realtime Worlds CEO Dave Jones has said that he believes his development studio’s new MMO, All Points Bulletin, can reach a level of success thus far only achieved by World of Warcraft.
“If we have a big success with APB on the scale of, for example, World of Warcraft, then we could be looking at hundreds of millions of pounds,” explained Jones. “It just depends what happens after we launched it.”
Jones continues: “We want to launch APB in 2009, which will be pretty much worldwide – including the Asian markets. This is our first big online game.”
According to The Scotsman, Jones also said that Realtime Worlds is likely to create a boxed version of the game and would be looking to adapt it for Xbox and PlayStation platforms in the future.
