The Legend of Zelda: Defenders of the Triforce, a Zelda-based escape room experience, will launch in the US early next year, Nintendo and escape room experts SCRAP have announced.

Defenders of the Triforce is more than just an escape room, however.

“Participants work in teams of six to solve a mystery in a huge area, all within a set time limit. The experience will let guests interact with classic items and characters seen in The Legend of Zelda series like the Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes. Discovered items can be used to solve puzzles and move forward into other areas, just like in The Legend of Zelda games,” explains Nintendo.

On completion of the main puzzle attendees will find themselves in an area for photos, plus a promo lounge where they can buy exclusive merchandise.

The experience is touring eight US cities starting in January 2017, with tickets available through this link.

San Francisco – Jan. 31-Feb. 5

Los Angeles – Feb. 10-12

San Diego – Feb. 24-25

Seattle – TBA

Phoenix – TBA

Houston – TBA

Chicago – TBA

New York – TBA

Sadly there’s no indication that the experience will be coming to the UK.
