Ready At Dawn would like to introduce a Photo Mode to The Order: 1886 in a future update, CTO Andrea Pessino has said, even though it would take “a little bit of work” to get the feature up and running.

“We haven’t announced anything yet, but I hope we’ll get to work on something like [a Photo Mode], because I want to see it too,” Pessino told DualShockers. “It would be really great.

“It’s not as easy as it seems, especially in our game because there’s all kinds of crazy stuff that happens behind the scenes to make it look so good, that once you freeze the camera and let the player move around, we have to be able to handle it correctly.”

Photo Modes have become a popular feature amongst console players this gen, offering the user full control over the camera to line up the perfect shot.

Multiple current-gen titles have already shipped with or introduced a Photo Mode in a post-release update, including Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, DriveClub and The Last of Us: Remastered.

“It would be a little bit of work,” added Pessino, “but it’s something that, if we manage to do, I think it would be really spectacular and add a lot to the game.”

The Order: 1886 launches on PS4 this Friday. Look out for our thoughts on the game at 1pm GMT this Thursday.
