A listing for Rayman Origins 2 has appeared on the website of a Swiss retailer.
The website alleges that a direct sequel to last year’s top co-op platformer will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year.
A pseudo-sequel to Rayman Origins has already been announced, of course. Rayman Legends releases exclusively on Wii U early next year.
But this is the first time that a direct sequel to Origins has been suggested to be in development.
Rayman Legends had been due to launch alongside Wii U this November. However, the game was delayed to Q1 2013 earlier this week to allow for more time to develop “a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds [fan] expectations.”
Ubisoft chose not to comment on the listing when contacted by VideoGamer.com.
