Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc is to receive a high definition makeover and will be released via Xbox LIVE Arcade and PSN next spring, Ubisoft has announced.

First released in 2003 for Xbox, PS2 and PC, Hoodlum Havoc offers 15-20 hours of 3D platforming gameplay and extra unlockable content, including nine stand-alone mini-games, Achievements and online leaderboards.

In addition to the HD visual upgrade, the visuals will be running at a silky smooth 60 frames per second and the audio work has also been given a spruce up.

We’d have rather seen Rayman 2 given the HD treatment, but the third game in the series was still an enjoyable romp and one of the best 3D platformers of its time.
