According to G4TV, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Singularity developer Raven Software has been pulled of its latest project in order to begin work on Call of Duty: Black Ops map packs.
G4TV cites multiple sources familiar with the situation, which claim a Raven team thought to be working on a new stealth-based James Bond title were told to put that project on the back burner in order to begin work on DLC for Treyarch’s upcoming entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
According to a Kotaku report, Raven has also been told to freeze development of a game based on the X-Men franchise – a follow-up to its work on X-Men: Origins Wolverine.
Activision told G4 that it “does not comment on rumour and speculation”.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is scheduled for release on November 9, 2010.
