Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that this autumn will see the release of Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time, the latest addition to the multi-million selling franchise.

The game will conclude events that began in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, answering some of the franchise fans’ biggest questions. After discovering that Clank’s disappearance was engineered by Dr. Nefarious, Ratchet races to save his best friend in a journey that will see the pair finally uncover the hidden truth behind their origins, and discover their ultimate destinies – is it finally time for the universe’s greatest duo to separate for good?

Expect a visual tour de force, with the game powered by Insomniac Games’ fourth-generation PS3 technology. Also present will be all the laughs and witty banter of a Ratchet and Clank title, plus all-new space gameplay that gives players the chance to engage in space battles, explore the surrounding star system, and discover hidden items and collectables.

Players will also come head-to-head with a brand-new cast of baddies, plus some old favourites. There’ll also be a host of cool new weapons and abilities available to try out.

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time is scheduled for release only on PS3 this autumn.
