Ubisoft has blown the lid wide open on Operation Para Bellum, the next major update for tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.

The highlight of the new update includes a new map called Villa, an expansive gaff nestled in the midst of the picturesque Italian countryside. There's also the two new operators that were previously revealed, namely Alibi and Maestro.

Operation Para Bellum also features the new Pick & Ban system, allowing you to eliminate a particular operator during the banning stage, with each team attempting to counter the other with their choices.

Outside of this, the update also throws in a bunch of new gear, including a deployable bullet proof camera, plus additional improvements including dropshotting adjustments, operator speed adjustments, new counter defuser animation, plus buffs to Echo and the Clubhouse Map.

Ubisoft revealed that the test server for Operation Para Bellum will kick off tomorrow, May 22, which is exclusive to the PC version of the game.

Rainbow Six Siege was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in December 2015, and has seen a steady stream of new content over the past few years. Ubisoft said it intends on pumping out 100 operators during the game's lifecycle, and as such is unlikely to develop a full-fledged sequel.
