Rainbow Six Siege’s latest expansion ‘Operation Red Crow’ rolled out across all formats yesterday, but it has caused some issues for PS4 players, according to early user reports.

Multiple users on Reddit have reported that the game now freezes “for a few seconds” mid-match after downloading the latest update, with players suggesting that it could be linked to new Operator Hibana’s gadget.

According to the thread, equipping Hibana’s explosive pellet X-KAIROS gadget causes the game to temporarily freeze, but does not always affect everybody in the match, allowing the enemy to take advantage of the opposing team’s stutter. Other players have reported that the issue can last even longer, with one stating that the game freezes “for around 10 seconds”.

“I experienced it 5 times in a row, both on terrorist hunt, casual and ranked,” said one player. “This is really frustrating. Ubi help!!!!”

Ubisoft says that it is “currently investigating” the issue.
