Ubisoft has revealed the first details on Operation Grim Sky, the highly anticipated third season for tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

The main highlight here is obviously the addition of two new Operators; a British Defender and an American Attacker, who are signing up for Rainbow's Urban Tactical Response Team, otherwise known as Grim Sky.

Ubisoft isn't going into much detail right now, although the Defender is apparently a tough copper who has experience in dealing with mobs and snatch-tactics. The Attacker meanwhile excels at tactical operations, and is described as something of an enigma with the organisation.

Another main addition of Grim Sky is a complete overhaul of the Hereford Base, which is undergoing a renovation in an effort to better adjust the map for competitive play.

Operation Grim Sky will be fully unveiled during a dedicated Twitch stream on August 17-19 at the Six Major in Paris.

Rainbow Six Siege launched for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on December 1, 2015. Despite a shaky start, Ubisoft has dedicated itself to improving the game with a steady stream of updates and content, and plans on supporting Siege for many years to come.

In other words, don't expect Rainbow Six Siege 2 anytime soon.
