Ubisoft has announced that tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege will be opening its doors free to PS4, PC, and Xbox One owners next week.

The taster will kick off on February 15 and runs until February 18 for PC, February 19 for Xbox One, and February 20 for PS4. During this time, any progress you make can be carried over to the full version of the game should you decide to purchase it.

Elsewhere, the French publisher confirmed that Operation Chimera, the first batch of content for Rainbow Six Siege Year 3, will be available for PC via the technical servers on February 19 before rolling out across all formats on March 6.

In addition, the cooperative-focused Outbreak will hit tech servers on February 20, and can be snapped up on PS4 and Xbox One between March 6 – April 3. It’s also worth remembering that Xbox One X and PS4 Pro support is in the pipeline, though we don’t have an exact date just yet.

Ubisoft confirmed last month that three flavours of Rainbow Six Siege will be up for grabs to kick off Year 3, namely the Advanced, Complete, and Gold Editions.Â
