SimBin, the multi award winning studio behind RACE, GTR2 and GT Legends, has announced that RACE 07 will be released on PC in autumn 2007. The game will feature more than 200 cars and 20 race tracks.
The FIA WTCC 2006 and 2007 seasons will be joined by open wheeler and sports car racing including Formula 3000, Formula BMW and Radical SR3 and SR4.
RACE 07 will include the true to life championship mode, plus a new custom championship mode where players will be able to mix cars and classes as they wish.
To support the newly added open cockpit cars, a new helmet cam view has been implemented. This new view is directly affected by different weather effects and players will see dirt and bugs on the helmet visor. Players will also be able to see the driver removing the Tear offs from the helmet’s visor.
Online players will also be pleased to see the inclusion of custom skins, especially important if you’re part of a community or racing league.
RACE 07 had been expected for release a little earlier than the autumn, but late changes in the calendar of the FIA WTCC events had resulted in several new circuits that need implementing in the game.
