id Software has announced that the open beta for its free to play multiplayer shooter Quake Live will begin on February 24.
Anyone interested in taking part should head over to the game’s official website from tomorrow to register for a spot in the test. Once registered you’ll be able to try out the Q3 inspired FPS.
Previously registered closed beta accounts not active within the last 28 days will be cleared as will all current statistics. However, player names and settings will remain. id noted that this will be the last time that the Quake Live stats are ever wiped.
