Toxic Games has announced Q.U.B.E. 10th Anniversary, a remake of their first person puzzle hit, Q.U.B.E.

The original 2012 first-person puzzler plus its 2014 Director’s Cut are being rebuilt from the ground up to celebrate the milestone. However, this won’t just give the game a cosmetic makeover, but will also revise and redesign sections of the game and its follow-up. In fact, this will also include the addition of an entirely new chapter called Sector 8. This new chapter, Toxic promise, will include an additional 4-6 hours of extra content.

Here’s a quote from Dave Hall, the game’s creative director. “We didn’t just want to paint on some prettier visuals to the game – we wanted to completely reimagine Q.U.B.E.’s world and offer fans, new and old, a fittingly significant improvement in visual quality.” The release also coincides with an Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release of sequel Q.U.B.E. 2.

We quite enjoyed the original Q.U.B.E. back in 2012, and scored it an 8 in our review. “Fundamentally,” it reads. “This is a very satisfying puzzle game, and one that manages to stay surprising throughout by keeping things incredibly tight.”
