Nintendo has today announced that Puzzle League DS, a block-based puzzle game for Nintendo DS, will be released across Europe on June 29. The game sees coloured blocks rising from the bottom of the screen and it’s up to the player to arrange the blocks to form blocks of three or more of the same colour – let the screen fill with blocks and it’s Game Over.

The game can be played with the DS in its normal orientation and with button controls, or you can opt for the book-style and use the touch screen to move the blocks around.

In addition to a host of single-player game modes, Puzzle League DS also includes local and online multiplayer. Local wireless play supports game sharing, enabling up to four players to battle it out with only one copy of the game.

Players can also take the action online using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and battle against opponents from the world over.

Puzzle League DS will slide into European stores on June 29.
