Double Fine has released a new Psychonauts 2 gameplay video, this time focusing on the psychic powers main character Raz will have at his disposal.

Raz retains many of his powers from the first game in the sequel. These include abilities like Levitation that allow him to roll on a ball that can reach higher areas.  Then there’s the Telekensis power that allows Raz to move and throw things with his mind. There’s also several aggressive projectile attacks such as PSI-Blast and Pyro.

Naturally, Raz will still get to learn some new powers too during the course of the game. These include the previously revealed Mental Connection which can be used as a grappling hook, Using this power, you’ll be able to latch onto thought nodes, and swing to navigate areas as well as be to reposition in combat. Next up, Time Bubble lets you change the speed of objects in the world which can, for example, help you navigate things like floating platforms more easily.

Finally Projection will let Raz summon a paper-sketched copy of himself. This 2D doppelganger can get into spaces you can’t, and also can be used as a decoy in combat. As a treat for Invader Zim fans, the decoy is voiced by Rikki Simmons who played GIR in the classic animated series. (Raz, in case you weren’t aware, is voiced by Richard Horvitz who was the voice of Invader Zim himself.)
