PSP sales still high in Japan

According to Japanese sales figures reported by Media Create, for the week ending October 26 the PSP, buoyed by the recent launch of the PSP 3000, sold 60,467 units. While this is approximately 100,000 units down from the previous week, it compares favourably to only 22,965 units of the Nintendo DS.

Home console sales remain as they were, with the Wii comfortably outselling the sales of Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 combined. The Wii shifted 24,292 units, the Xbox 360 7,844 units and the PS3 only 3,931 units.
