PSP dominates 3DS in Japanese chart

The PSP has significantly outsold the 3DS in Japan this week, with Media Create (posted on NeoGAF) reporting that 30,528 PSP units were sold in comparison to 17,240 3DS units.

PS3 came in third with 12,935, DS fourth at 10,272 and Wii fifth with 6,336. The Xbox 360 didn’t come in last, but its 2,763 units could only beat the PS2’s 1,319.

While Tecmo Koei’s Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 3DS failed to enter the top 40 UK video game chart, it has faired much better in Japan. The game entered at No.2 with 23,078 units sold while VideoGamer.com favourite Portal 2 managed to debut at No.6 with 8,942 units sold.
