Sega is making another Yakuza game and it will be out later this year, according to a leak on the Taiwan PlayStation Network store.

The listing was found by NeoGaf user sinonobu, who found it on the Taiwanese PSN. The listing had clearly gone up too early, before being pulled. But that wasn’t before screenshots were taken of the game’s product page.

The listing shows a December 7, 2017 release date for the game in Taiwan, so it’s safe to say it’ll probably be out at the same time in Japan as well. Translation of the text states that the game will run on the engine powering Yakuza 6. Yakuza Kiwami was also built in the new Dragon Engine, so it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to assume that Sega plans on remaking the earlier games in the series in this engine.

According to Siliconera, Sega is holding an event tomorrow where it’s expected to announce quite a few new Yakuza games, so maybe we will officially find out about Yakuza Kiwami 2 then.
