PlayStation 4’s 1.70 system update will begin rolling out next Wednesday, April 30, Sony has revealed.

The date was posted on the official PlayStation Greece Facebook page last week (picked up by Reddit users this morning) while highlighting the new SHAREfactory app, a new piece of software included in the update that offers advanced video editing.

Rumours of an April 30 roll-out first emerged last week after Sony Japan allegedly outed the date.

Alongside SHAREfactory, the 1.70 update will also let players transfer their captured videos to USB, preload supported digital games, and introduce an option to disable HDCP allowing you to capture video directly via HDMI.
