The PlayStation 4 will support game capture over HDMI, Sony has confirmed.
The PS3 featured HDCP over HDMI, meaning video capture was only possible over component and other analogue cables.
The news was announced during Sony’s TGS keynote overnight, and then confirmed by Brad Douglas, head of Third-party Relations for Sony Computer Entertainment.
“I think we just announced that we’re going to allow video capture of games over HDMI!” he Tweeted.
Xbox One will also support capture over HDMI.
