Sony has announced that it has lifted the lid on sign-ups for the upcoming PlayStation 4 update 6.00 beta test.

There's not an awful lot to talk about at this point, other than you can put your name down for the beta in the US, Europe, and Japan. You'll need to have either PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now though, and be 18 or over to participate.

Unfortunately, we don't really know much about PS4 update 6.00 yet, although the last major patch for Sony's console offered a bunch of new features including supersampling.

If you're interested in taking part in the beta, be sure to get your name down by July 27. Hopefully Sony will drop some more info on the update soon enough, so stay tuned.
