UK sales of PlayStation 4 hardware surged by 300 per cent last week following the launch of Destiny, MCV reports.
The sales spike led to PS4 having its strongest week of the year so far in the UK, just as it managed in North America.
Xbox One is also said to have seen a “significant sales hike week-on-week”, too, although PS4 hardware is still reported to have outsold Microsoft’s console by 2:1.
Physical sales of the game, however, were split evenly between Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
Last week’s sales numbers for both next-gen consoles have not been revealed.
