All PS4 owners will get free access to online multiplayer this weekend, Sony has announced.

Starting from 12am PST this Friday, March 20, through to 11:59 PST Sunday, online multiplayer will be unlocked to all PS4 users, letting you jump into the online components of games like Battlefield Hardline, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and GTA 5 without a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Unlike PS3 and PS Vita, a PlayStation Plus membership is usually required to access online multiplayer in PS4 games, with a subscription costing £39.99 per year.
