Sony has rolled out a new mandatory firmware update for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen has confirmed.
“PS4 firmware v1.61 is now live (mandatory) and provides general enhancements to the PS4 system’s stability,” tweeted Owen. “It’s a very minor update fixing mainly back end stuff.”
The recent 1.60 update added support for the PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset and the original Wireless Stereo Headset, along with additional improvements to stability and the option to mute the PlayStation 4 Camera.
