The PS4 will be supported by 10 entertainment apps when the console launches in the UK this Friday, November 29, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced.
The UK apps include: Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, IGN, BBC iPlayer, VidZone, Lovefilm, Netflix, BBC Sports, BBC News and Demand 5.
A total of 18 apps will be released across Europe:
Releasing 29th November:

- Video Unlimited (Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK)

Every app can be accessed without a PS Plus subscription.
A further 20 apps will be released by spring 2014, including Game One, FilmoTV and TuneIn. Also look out for existing PS3 apps, such as MUBI, to move over to PS4.
Sony can boast about the BBC iPlayer app which is currently missing from the Xbox One’s line-up, but PS4 owners do miss out on YouTube and 4OD apps which for some could be a bigger deal.
