PlayStation 3 owners will get their own Double XP weekend in Call of Duty: Black Ops this weekend, Treyarch has announced.

Like the 360 and PC versions which ran a fortnight ago, Double XP starts at 6pm BST tonight and ends 6pm BST on Tuesday 24. Wait a second, what kind of a weekend ends on Tuesday?

Unlucky PlayStation 3 owners were unable to join in with the most recent wave of Double XP shenanigans because of the 25-day PSN outage. Two weeks ago, Treyarch declared the revived PSN would get a Call of Duty: Black Ops Double XP weekend.

There is still no date for when PlayStation Network will see the Escalation DLC pack, however, though Steam is taking pre-orders for a June 2 release of the PC version.

VideoGamer.com awarded a respectable 8/10 to the latest batch of Black Ops maps in its Escalation Review.
