A PS Plus October 2025 game leak could be bittersweet news for fans of a beloved and iconic series that is turning 29-years old next month. The upcoming PlayStation Plus selection should be announced soon, and there are rumors of a State of Play for September, too. If this State of Play is to happen as rumored, its date should be revealed imminently. As for next month’s PS Plus offerings, Sony will first announce the Essential selection and then the Extra and Premium games at a later date. Nothing is confirmed so far, but it’s possible one game has already leaked.
PS Plus October 2025 game leak could be disappointing
Tomb Raider Anniversary is possibly leaked for PS Plus in October 2025. Truetrophies has leaked trophies for a PS2 port of Anniversary, meaning it will eventually join PS Plus similar to Tomb Raider Legend earlier this year. It should be available to buy from the PSN store like Legend, too.
It remains to be seen whether Tomb Raider Anniversary joins in October or at a later date. However, it seems likely to happen next month, not only because of the timing of this leak, but also because Tomb Raider celebrates its anniversary on October 25th, and the series is turning 29-years old.
While Tomb Raider Anniversary is fantastic, this port might ultimately be disappointing news as it could possibly mean Aspyr are not doing a remaster of the LAU trilogy. Legend has already joined PS Plus and the PSN store, Anniversary is doing the same, so all that’s left is for Underworld to follow. Assuming Underworld follows in the footsteps of Anniversary and Legend, possibly in February for Lara’s birthday, the prospect of a remaster lessens as all three games will be easily accessible unlike Tomb Raider 1-3 and 4-6 before their remastered trilogies.
Being able to play Anniversary will be great, but it would be bittersweet if it’s at the expanse of a remaster as well as for Legend and Underworld.
The PS Plus October 2025 Essential free games should be announced on October 1st judging by Sony’s usual pattern before releasing on October 7th. Assuming this happens, the Extra and Premium games should then be announced on October 15th before releasing on the 21st. Here’s hoping we get some good horror games to celebrate the month of Halloween.
