Games Radar reports that Mega Man 9 is to receive a new playable character in the form of Proto Man, Mega Man’s mysterious brother. The character is expected to be released the week of October 6 priced 200 Wii Points, 160 MS Points or $1.99 on PSN.
Expect a similar gameplay experience to that of Mega Man, although players will gain the ability to slide and charge blasts. Proto Man will also be able to deflect bullets with his shield, although larger blasts will cause damage and push him back twice as far as Mega Man.
This is just the start of the planned DLC, more details on which are expected over the coming weeks.
