Slightly Mad Studios has released the first screens of Project Cars running on PS4 hardware, and it’s safe to say things are looking very impressive indeed.

The studio says that attention to detail is key, with the cars modelled down to the screws that hold the suspension manifold together.

As for the tracks, these have been created using thousands of reference photos, complete with height information and laser scans. In addition real drivers including former ‘Stig’ Ben Collins, Nicolas Hamilton, and Oli Webb meticulously trawled over every track to ensure every every corner, every rumble strip, and every bump on the tarmac is authentic.

The game will also be one of the first to support VR system Project Morpheus, but more on that will be detailed soon.

Project Cars will launch for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Steam OS and Wii U starting in November.
