In a short Pokémon Direct today, Nintendo has announced that Pokkén Tournament DX will be the first Pokémon game coming to the Nintendo Switch system. 

The game will join ARMS and Splatoon 2 as part of Nintendo’s E3 lineup, with a Pokkén Tournament DX invitational tournament taking place on Wednesday June 14. It’ll be streaming from 6.30 pm, BST.

Pokkén Tournament DX is a fighting game, originally released on the Wii U. It’s a mashup of Tekken fighting gameplay and characters from Pokémon. The Switch version adds some new elements, including new Pokémon from the most recent games in the series, 

Pokkén Tournament DX is releasing for Switch on September 22.
