Everyone reckons they are the ultimate Pokemon trainer, but how do you really know where you stack up against the world’s best. The answer is to enter the 2010 Pokemon Video Game World Championships.

The UK qualifier takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on May 29, with the winners given the opportunity to compete at the World Championships in Hawaii this summer.

The European qualifier schedule

May 29: Birmingham – National Exhibition Center(The Pavillion Hall)

June 5: Cologne, Germany – Pullman Hotel

June 12: Lyon, France – Cité Centre de Congrès (Forum 4)

June 19: Madrid, Spain-IFEMA – Feria de Madrid (N101-N104)

World Championships

August 13, Kona, Hawaii – Hilton Waikoloa Village

As a bonus to all attendees, everyone who brings a copy of Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver to the event will receive a Shiny Eevee.
