A private beta for Sony’s game streaming service PlayStation Now will begin in the UK this spring, the platform holder has announced.

The invite-only beta will initially be open to select PS4 PS Plus subscribers who register their interest on Sony’s website, allowing them to stream a range of PS3 titles free of charge for the “initial stage” of the test.

Additional opportunities to join the beta will be available to non-PS Plus users at a later date.

Titles featured in the beta include Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saints Row: The Third, Just Cause 2, Telltale’s The Walking Dead and DiRT 3, with more to be added over time.

Sony recommends that users have a minimum 5mbps broadband connection to use the service.

PlayStation Now first rolled out in North America last year and lets users rent PS3 games to be streamed through a variety of devices, including PS4, PS3, PS Vita and PlayStation TV.
