Sony has revealed that it will be hosting a live stream of its E3 press conference in a special screening room in PlayStation Home on June 6/7.
In addition, Sony will once again be offering a virtual tour of its E3 booth. In 2010, five times the amount of people visited the virtual booth than the all the visitors to the LA Convention centre put together.
While booth tours have been done before, a live stream is a first for PlayStation Home. In the conference, SCEA president and CEO Jack Tretton will unveil “exclusive, never-before-seen footage of new titles across Sony Computer Entertainment’s suite of platforms and reveals all of the major announcements the company will make at the E3 expo.”
Martin Gaston will be joining me to live-blog the event from the Memorial Sports Arena in LA.
Sony’s E3 2011 press conference starts at 1am BST, June 7.
