Sony is set to make-over its PlayStation Home PS3 hang out as a theme park, featuring MMO-like gameplay.

The make-over is scheduled to hit Home this fall, and will feature a new central plaza called The Hub, as reported by Venturebeat.

The Hub will integrate games, quests, community events and user-generated content, as well as give users an area where they can see what games are currently in progress and what missions they can fulfil or share with their friends.

This will include group activities such as defending The Hub from an attack.

Users will also be able to use the Hub to teleport into free games and move to other districts. These will include the Action District, the Adventure District, Pier Park, and Sportswalk, each of which will relate to the particular look and style of different genres.

PlayStation Home launched in 2008 as a social, virtual world for the PlayStation 3. It has over 23 million registered users.
