PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become a runaway success on PC early access, becoming the darling of many a popular streamer. The game’s Twitter account has been sharing the love in the form of some new screenshots, showing off a new desert location.
Not content with resting on its laurels, the game’s developers Bluehole look to be pressing onwards at a steady clip when it comes to updating the game and creating more content in order to satisfy the games ever-growing player base.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an MMO survival game using a battle royale game mode. 100 players are dropped onto a map where they scavenge weapons and items whilst duking it out to be the last one standing, and get that all important Chicken Dinner.
So what the heck is a ‘Chicken Dinner’? The legend goes that a chicken dinner used to cost less than $2 in Las Vegas, which was the same as the usual bet. So when you won $2, you had the saying ‘Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner’. PUBG’s win screen for the final survivor says Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, so seasoned players call a win a Chicken Dinner. See it’s not all games here, it’s information also. Thank me later.
The game has become quite the hit on PC, selling quite a few copies since its release into early access. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has also been announced as a timed exclusive on the Xbox One X, due at some point in 2017.
