PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds clearly has no chill, as sales for the sales juggernaut have now passed seven million. It’s also leapfrogged Counter-Strike: GO in the last 24-hours for most concurrent players with over 600,000 users playing the game at the same time. That’s just outrageous.

According to figures taken from SteamSpy, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has surpassed seven million copies sold on PC and it’s currently at 7,013,248. Concurrent player numbers have also increased, passing 600,000+ as of yesterday, which has taken PUBG above Counter-Strike: GO in today’s daily player counts, if only for a matter of hours.

It’s also been announced that Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene will be speaking at panel at Gamescom 2017. Called ‘My Journey’, the panel will detail the ascent of Greene from modder to creative director of one of the world’s most popular PC games. This could be an interesting insight into the mind behind the early access phenomenon. Much of the media  interest (understandably) tends to focus on the game and its development progress, so this panel could be a good opportunity to hear Greene speak about his experiences. Currently there’s no word on whether this panel will be livestreamed or recorded to be broadcast later.

My Journey will take place at 1pm BST on August 23.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds full release has been delayed until the end of 2017. For consoles, it’ll be a timed exclusive on the Xbox One X.
