PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the survival game taking the world by storm, is getting two big additions in upcoming updates, according to the game’s developers Bluehole. First up will be an FOV (field-of-view) slider, which will give players greater control over their view in-game, and following that will be the addition of dedicated first-person view servers.

In an update on his personal Twitter account today, PlayerUnknown (aka Brendan Greene) confirmed that an FOV slider is in the works for the game’s monthly update, landing in the next couple of weeks.

Greene also confirmed in a number of tweets that first-person only servers will soon be coming to the title. These first-person servers will only be available in the Solo and Duo games for America and Europe, but ‘will expand to other regions’ once everything has been fine-tuned.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been dominating the Steam charts and the minds of many since going into early access earlier this year, and while the game is still in development, that hasn’t halted its success or popularity. With the developers continually updating the game, things are changing all the time.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is being developed for the PC and Xbox One, and was recently delayed until the end of 2017 in order to ensure the game was ‘fully featured’ at launch.
