Sometimes when playing PUBG it can be quite hard to see exactly how you lost out on that delicious chicken dinner (unless of course you get run over by a car in the first fifteen minutes). Thankfully it looks like we’ll get a bit more info on our inevitable deaths by the time it comes out of early access later this week.
A joint announcement by Korean based gaming technology company Minkonet and PUBG Corp, developer of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has revealed that a new 3D replay and killcam feature is to be added to PUBG in time for the game’s 1.0 release on December 20. The blurb says that new feature ‘provides seamless playback video of the primary player’s gameplay as well as the innovative ability to closely follow another user’s gaming feats and arena roaming as an in-game observer, providing gameplay viewers, including eSports audiences, a superior viewing experience.’
In other PUBG news, PlayerUnknown himself Brendan Greene tweeted over the weekend that the Xbox version of the hit Battle Royale game launched last week managed to snare a million users in its first 48 hours of being available through the Xbox Game Preview program. Not bad going at all.
Over 1M players tried @PUBATTLEGROUNDS within 48hrs of launch on @Xbox Game Preview! This is humbling, so thank you all!
It’s the start of the road on console for us. We‘ve lots to improve & update over the coming months & w/ your feedback we’ll make a great game together!
