Brendan Greene, better known as PlayerUnknown of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds fame, has revealed some new screens of the upcoming desert map set to hit the popular battle royal title sometime later this year.

The new WIP shots which Greene revealed via Twitter are embedded in the gallery below and show off some of the desert environment, which we we’ve previously learned is based on Peru  and shows off some of the more built-up sections of the map as well as what look to be some farmhouses.

When asked on Twitter by a fan Greene said the new map was on course for a release ‘later this year’ which will mark a busy period for the ever growing blockbuster given it just passed 20 million copies sold.

PUBG is set to release into V1.0 on PC by the end of the year with an Xbox One version heading to the Xbox Game Preview program on December 12
