In a move that is hardly surprising Playboy are now offering movies and pictures that are formatted for playback and viewing on the Sony PSP. Given the majority of PSP owners are men who are likely to have an interest in the female form Playboy could be onto a big thing. Last year they launched a similar service for the Apple iPod Photo device which they called ‘iBod’.
“Gaming and the Internet go hand in hand, so shooting sexy, action-themed pictorials and video for the coolest piece of portable gaming technology out there was a no-brainer,” said Playboy.com’s managing photo editor Chad Doering. “We took advantage of the PSP’s 16:9 widescreen ratio and developed our own video game action heroine the way only Playboy can do it. Our Cyber Girl of the Year proved that she not only looks great playing in the sand and surf but can kick ass and take phone numbers later.”
Cyber girl of the year Sue Cooper seemed more than happy to have her pictures drooled over while on display on the gorgeous PSP screen, commenting that “”The thought of being carried around in a guy’s pocket and having him push my buttons is really sexy.” That didn’t sound at all like a sentence put into her mouth in order to attract thousands of young men.
If you want to check out Playboy’s new use for the PSP and you are old enough to be looking at scantily clad ladies, then you can head over to the official Playboy website.
