The original version of acclaimed Xbox LIVE Arcade title Spelunky is now available to play directly from your browser.
Derek Yu’s Spelunky was made in GameMaker, and handily GameMaker HTML5 makes it possible to compile games built using the software to run in a browser.
“In theory this should be a one-button process, but for a complex game like Spelunky it’s a bit harder,” explained Bostonian Darius Kazumi, the developer who carried out the port.
The porting job is said to have taken just three hours.
