SEGA and Platinum Games have revealed Vanquish, the latest game from the people that brought us MadWorld and Bayonetta.

The teaser trailer reveals what appears to be a future America under attack – perhaps by an alien race. Fighting back is a man in an Augmented Reaction Suit (ARS) which looks quite similar to the Nano Suit from Crysis. There’s guns, stuff flying around and some kind of mech.

Given the action seen in the trailer, we’re taking a guess at a first or third person shooter.

Shinji Mikami (of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry fame) is directing the project, with Atsushi Inaba (Okami, God Hand, Viewtiful Joe) producing.

There’s currently no info on a release date or which platforms the game’s being developed for.
