The first DLC pack for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be available to download for free on Xbox One and Xbox 360 tomorrow.

The Garden Variety Pack introduces a brand new game mode – Gnome Bomb – that sees the plants and zombies fighting to secure a bomb and deliver it to the opponent’s base, as well as three new ability upgrades for each character class, including a new Solar Flare Beam for the Sunflower, an Ultra Tackle for the Zombie All-Star and the Chomper’s Super Goop.

There’s also a brand new map – Chomp Town – which is described by Polygon as a small 8v8 urban map, and a new Pirate Zombie type available in Sharkbite Shores and Port Scallywag.

“This DLC offers a lot of new gameplay,” producer Brian Lindley told Polygon. “These layers affect teamplay and strategy while giving players tons of new ways to customize their characters.”

The DLC will be available from tomorrow as part of a new mandatory title update.
