UPDATE: The beta is now live on PS4. To access it, just download it from PlayStation Store.

ORIGINAL STORY: Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2’s open multiplayer beta is expected to go live at around 7pm CET (6pm GMT) tonight, PopCap has said.

The beta gives all PS4 and Xbox One users the chance to try out the game ahead of its full release next month, offering up four multiplayer maps and the game’s Backyard Battleground. It will not require a key to access.

It may be worth keeping an eye on the Xbox and PlayStation Store throughout the day, though, PopCap says, as it’s possible the beta may roll out even faster than expected. The beta is due to run until next Monday, January 18.

Once the beta ends, Xbox One EA Access members will be able to download a time-limited trial of the full game on February 18, ahead of the game’s release the following week. The trial has yet to be confirmed for the recently announced Origin Access.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 25.
