Planetside Arena has been postponed on PC yet again, although this time there's a big reason: Daybreak Game Company is planning a PlayStation 4 version too, and it'll launch alongside the PC edition this summer.

The developer has confirmed it is currently busy tinkering with its sci-fi shooter based on feedback garnered from the PC Closed Beta. In case you haven't been keeping up with Planetside Arena, it's a battle royale game that accommodates a massive 500 players. Sounds promising, although can it hope to compete with Apex Legends and Fortnite?

'We believe that delivering the most polished version of PlanetSide Arena that meets these expectations, on both platforms, outweighs any other consideration,' said Daybreak. 'Thank you all again for your amazing support. We’re very excited about the future and can’t wait see everyone back in the Arena!'

Planetside Arena is due for release in summer this year, although an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.
