Phantasy Star Online 2 will be available as a free-to-play title, SEGA has announced.
The MMO will be downloadable for free, while featuring a microtransaction system.
In addition, both Android and iOS versions will share data with versions on PC and PlayStation Vita platforms, while offering basic character creation and control systems, Andriasang reports.
A closed beta will be available in Japan next month, allowing up to 100,000 users to take part.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is expected to launch on PC this summer, while its Android and iOS versions will be available this winter, followed by the Vita version in 2013.
