Konami has announced that eFootball PES 2020 will receive a Euro 2020 DLC pack, in an exclusive deal with UEFA (via FullSync).

Guy Laurent-Epstein, marketing director of UEFA Events SA, stated, ‘We are very pleased to continue and extend our working partnership with Konami. UEFA Euro 2020 provides an opportunity to build an even closer working relationship, allowing us to activate it in new and exciting ways, and to engage with our mutual fans around the world.’

As part of the deal, over 50 national football associations will be included in PES 2020 from launch, with their official kits, crests and squads. This is a kick in the teeth for EA’s FIFA 20, as Konami had also secured deals with Juventus and Manchester United.

Jonas Lygaard, Konami’s senior director of brand and business development, commented on the partnership: ‘Our teams have pulled out all the stops to secure the biggest and best licenses possible for eFootball PES 2020; quality licenses that match the level we set each year when it comes to gameplay. The partnership with UEFA and the Euro 2020 tournament is a big win for our community and new users who look for fresh content throughout the year.’

It will be a free download released some time in spring next year. PES 2020 will launch on 10 September for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
