PES 2019's in-game currency, myClub Coins, will no longer be available to purchase in Belgium, developer Konami has announced.

Konami's decision comes following similar moves by a number video game companies, including Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, and Valve. A statement issued by the Metal Gear Solid publisher reads:

'We fully respect the BGC's interpretation of relevant laws and made the decision to implement local changes to PES 2019 in Belgium.'

myClub Coins will be nixed on all versions of the footie title, although Konami notes that any existing currency you've earned can still be used.

PES 2019 was released in August last year for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, while a 'lite' free-to-play version is also now available.
