PES 2017 will be updated to support PS4 Pro “shortly after launch”, Konami has announced.

While we don’t yet know how the game is being enhanced for the new console, it’s likely it’ll be updated to support a 4K-quality resolution via Sony’s new ‘Checkerboard Rendering’ technique.

This year’s PES goes on sale this Friday, September 16, and is, according to Tom, “a wonderful football game that just begs to be played”. PS4 Pro, meanwhile, hits on November 10.

Numerous existing games have already been confirmed to take advantage of the new hardware, too, including Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Infamous: Second Son and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

PS4 Pro launches November 10 priced £349.99. Pre-order the PS4 Pro now from Amazon(?)
